Cabbage is Green

this is [part of] my design for my litho class. my stone is HUGE. it weighs about 200 lbs. and takes two people to move it. i had to reflect the image so it could be read because when you print from a stone everything needs to be backwards so when you print it will be right-reading. this is going to end up being my last run. i have a background color i'm doing on my posi-plate and haven't decided if i want it to be pink, red or light green. my second run is just the green of the cabbages and this [my black run] is on my stone. i'm excited. my image is going to be 11½"x11½". because we're doing so many runs and going about the crits "professionally" [meaning we're critiquing state proofs, artist proofs and then the finals] the whole thing is taking us until midterms.
-and yes, it was hard to do the writing backwards, as you can see some of my letter's are little funky.

polite graffiti

pancake obsession ♥

Anne Mailey is coming to visit me! She goes to MICA but wants to transfer somewhere. Hopefully it's SCAD! I have to pick up a futon from a friend for her to sleep on, and I can't wait to do that because when I get back I'm making pancakes for breakfast. Mmm... I really want some pancakes and tea, and to do a Wonderword.

future Rory Gilmore

i have recently decided that i need to start dressing better. i'm getting older and i want to feel older. when i dress better, i look older. when i wear hoodies and jeans i could easily be mistaken for a high schooler. i always feel this way when i'm at home, and i care about dressing better for the people i'm around or could potentially run into, but when i'm at school it's so busy and fast paced that i don't bother with taking the time to look better. i don't really care what anyone at school thinks, and in my down time i want to relax or have fun, not have wasted it because i just spent 30 minutes doing my hair and make-up. i love my hair when it's straight but it takes so damn long. and usually most people can dress better because they are in majors that require a computer or nothing liquid of any sort. photography chemicals, inks, isopar... it never ends for me. what's the point of looking like a grown-up if i'll just ruin it? and why try and look nice when i'll rip it all off three hours later and put on gym clothes? i can't wait until i'm out of school so i can dress how i want all the time.
